Why I Created My DIY Tiered Jewelry Stand

I was looking for a DIY crafts project to work on and I wanted to use a couple pieces of my grandmother’s china that she gave me years ago. The big question is going to be Why? Here’s why… I wanted to be able to see it and use it; more than sitting in my dining room cabinet. I think she would approve… It’s simple, it’s classy and it’s fancy

I have this makeshift table set up in my garage and it’s a catch-all for summer projects.. you can see the beginning of my DIY Candleholder that I posted last week. Teacups (they will be added to my other tiered jewelry stand… I am looking for another set of candlesticks)

Step 1 for my DIY Crafts Project:
I glued the two candlesticks to the bottom of the top two plates that I wanted to use and I let them sit overnight.

Step 2:
The next night.. while sitting out on my patio and enjoying the warm weather. I brought everything outside with me and I glued the pieces together… Bowl on the bottom, then the medium plates, then the smaller plate on top. It could of went… medium plate, small plate, teacup on the top… so many different ways to put one together.
If you are wondering what is on the tray ~ Glass of water, Flashlight, candles, charger, twine, and the jewelry stand,

Step 3
Style it with earrings, necklaces, rings.. whatever you want to see.

I mentioned earlier I had teacups and was looking into how to make something else with them… If you want to see the ideas I have been collecting on Pinterest. Here is a link to my DIY Tea Cup Ideas.
Do you have anything from a grandparent, mom, dad, or another family member that you want to make into something that reminds you of them? What have you done? I would love to hear about them.
